Letters from Lake Garda | Day Five OOTD

Sunday 7 May 2017

I can't believe that this week has gone so fast, but doesn't it always when you’re having fun? I'm already planning where we can go away to in September!

Today in Garda the weather has not been so great, and actually it's not going to be that nice for the next couple of days. We had considered getting the train to Florence, as I've always wanted to go there.

But although it's only a couple of hours from Pescheria, we didn't know if Theo would tolerate sitting down on the train for that long. He's at the stage where he wants to run around all the time and he can get a bit agitated when he feels confined.

Plus, we weren't sure if it would be raining, which would have ruined the visit. So we decided just to explore a little more of Pescheria and then go for a long lazy lunch at La Plume, a beautiful restaurant by the harbour that was recommended to us by our driver from the airport for its fresh seafood. We’ll have to save Florence for another time!

I had an absolutely beautiful fresh grilled ‘branzino’ or bass and Theo thoroughly enjoyed his calzone. All the wait staff were so kind and waving at him every time they went past, and he was lapping up the attention, flirting with a group of girls on the next table!

Day Five

White stripe batwing tee |H&M
Pale blue cigarette trousers | Zara
Tan cross body bag | Michael Kors
‘Havana’ sunglasses | Celine
Navy flip flops | Havianas

These pale blue trousers are my absolute favourite recent purchase. They look sort of smart and tailored but they are super comfortable! They’ll be a perfect double duty piece – ideal for work or play – and I can't wait to rock them with a slogan tee tucked in.

I'm having a big thing about trousers at the moment, and especially pastel coloured ones (which is really unlike me, Mrs Monochrome!). I paired them with a simple white tee and my navy flip flops for comfort.

Tomorrow is our last proper day, so I'll be posting my last holiday outfit.
