Hello my lovelies
I haven’t done a good old outfit post for quite a while, and especially at the moment as my wardrobe is very limited.
Style becomes quite a strange concept when your pregnant – it definitely becomes more about comfort than anything else!
You want to try and still look nice, but in my case I haven’t bought any maternity clothes yet, so I’m just trying to work with what still fits.
This weekend Seb is in Berlin for a stag do, so two of my oldest friends, Holly and Claire, came up to stay and keep me company.
We had a lot to celebrate as we haven’t seen each other for a while and Claire has just gotten engaged.
We were planning a spa weekend until I realised just how limited you are as to what you can do when expecting (no hot tub! Sad face), so we opted for dinner and drinks instead.
Outfit Notes
Cream embossed tunic dress - Primark
Black leggings – H&M
Jelly flats – Melissa for Vivienne Westwood
Black quilted leather jacket – Zara
Oversized Perspex floral necklace – eBay
Flatties and loose shapes were the order of the day for me.
I’ve had this embossed, 60s style cream mini for a while, and it works just as well paired with leggings.
This has really become my go-to ‘smarter’ outfit at the moment when I’ve been out. I did think about high heels for about two seconds, then opted for my comfy nude Melissa for Vivienne Westwood flatties instead.
They go with most outfits really well and felt more spring like than black ankle boots.
Adding a bit of personality, I took this chunky, oversized clear floral necklace, which was a find I picked up on eBay.
Over the top went my trusty quilted leather jacket from Zara.

I wanted to go for quite a bright, pink themed look for my make-up. I’ve been wearing lots of dark berry tones and things during the winter months, and it felt time to change that up a bit.
I did the full contouring works this time – first I popped on a bit of my favourite primer, Benefit Porefessional. Then I sculpted out the shadows on my face using Maybelline Color Tattoo in ‘Creamy Beige’.
This is a great shade for contouring as its not too orange and has a lot of grey tones that create a realistic shadow. I added highlights using the MUA Pro Base Argan Oil Plush concealer, which comes in a very handy crayon.
On a quest for luminous skin, I smoothed on a mixture of Jelly Pong Pong Skin Luminiser Gel and my Chanel's Lift Lumiere foundation, over the top of the contouring work.
Then the whole thing was buffed out for a flawless finish using Chanel Poudre Universelle.
On the eyes, I kept the lids quite bare, just using a flesh tone on the lids and a light beige to define the crease, and just emphasised the top lashline using Makeup Gallery Liquid Eyeliner, layered over with a black shadow – all from the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette.
I defined my brows with my usual Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade, then added a couple of coats of Essence Lash Princess mascara and some of my favourite falsies – Eyelure Exaggerate Lashes in style 141.
My lips were given a hit of spring colour with a brand new, hot off the shelves product - Clinique Colour Pop Lips + Primer.
This is a beautiful, lightweight formula that gives a dense, lasting colour – full review coming soon!
As it happened in the end, the girls and I decided against going out in favour of a supermarket raid for junk food, and a sleepover like in the old days, complete with a viewing of 'Clueless' - and we had the best time!
Love this outfit :) really suits you & shows the little bump off perfectly!!

Thank you Charlie, that's sweet! Its really hard to find stuff at the moment that still fits okay - I feel about the size of a house already, and still halfway to go! x
DeleteThis is such a lovely outfit and I like your mix of high street and designer brands. The Vivienne Westwood ballerinas are to die for and I would have never guessed the dress is from Primark!

Really appreciate that Carolin, bless you. Yeah I am mad about those shoes, wearing them to death right now. I like a good old Primark curve ball as well ;) x
DeleteI'm loving the outfit, your bump looks so cute in that dress! I must admit I'm loving the look of the lashes, beautifully glamorous!xx
