But they are always the posts I am most drawn to on other people’s blogs - I love a little window into the life of people I read about - so Ive decided to resurrect them!
Welcome to lash addict anonymous. My name is Sarah...and I am a false flutter junkie. Nothing raises my spirits more than a good pair of lashes, so today I'm sharing the mini haul I did from specialists House of Lashes, all the way from the good old US of A.
I first clocked their wares on Instagram, where I fell deeply in love with this amazing lash storage case. I wanted it, I needed it, I had to have it! You know the feeling.
Alongside the case, I also ordered a couple of pairs of lashes (but of course) and some mini adhesives. Here are my thoughts…
Whether it's classic poker straight, beach waves or curls I rely on mine to keep my locks styled and smoothed.
I remember the bad old days when straighteners had metal plates and weren't all that great and I also remember vividly the first time I tried GHDs and what a revelation it was. I was hooked and I haven't really looked back since. I just don't feel right if I haven't used them.
So the idea of a cordless mini pair that can be easily popped into a bag or used to cut down on luggage when you go away was something I really liked. But would they turn out to be any good?

Oh dear. I almost fell at the first hurdle with my #30daymakeupchallenge and I am struggling to keep up with it.
I'm still determined to do all the days, but I've accepted it might take me a while!
So, today is Day 6, Neutral Face. I was always going to love this one! Neutral is definitely one of my favourite make-up looks.
So, six months into 2016. That’s gone fast, right?
It seemed timely now to re-evaluate the goals I set myself at the beginning of the year for my #Project2016 series.
I’ll be totally honest, I know I’ve neglected some of them dreadfully. But there’s still time to get back on track, and that’s what I’ll do.
I shared posts on why New Year’s Resolutions don’t work, how to set goals that stick, how to find motivation and even what my personal goals for 2016 were. Now it's time to face the music and look at what I need to work harder on.
I'm not sure who agreed to let time go so fast, but he’s nine months old now and quite a lot has changed since I wrote an open letter to him on his half-birthday.
His little personality is really blossoming at the moment, and he’s turning out to be excellent company (not that I'm biased or anything!).
The Queen isn't the only one celebrating her 90th birthday this year!
It's also my Nana's 90th birthday, so a whole crowd of my Dad's side of the family gathered in Lincolnshire to celebrate with a garden party.
When did we become all about brows? I remember when I (shamefully) never filled mine in not so many years ago, but now its the one thing I can't forgo doing, even when its just a BB-cream-and-a -topknot kind of day.
They are an absolute essential, so I'm always keen to try new products that promise to tame my arches.
Benefit Cosmetics are well know as brow gurus, so an offering from them always has to be investigated.
They recently launched their brand new Goof Proof Brow Pencil. Now, I like to think I'm an old hand at making the most of my eyebrows, but I still have days where they just will not go right, and that always ruins my mood.
Would this new pencil spell the end of bad brow days? Read on to find out...
My taste in jewellery is very definite. I'm way more in the bold and edgy camp than the sweet and delicate one. For me to fall in love, an accessory has to be either super plain, very bold or, best of all, it has to have bite.
That's why I fell in love with the look and more importantly, the ethos behind Lovebullets.
An independent British brand, Lovebullets have an unique approach to making beautiful items out of objects of hate.
In their own words, 'transforming items of destruction into works of art, jewellery and fashion accessories to express an ideology of love overriding negative thought.' Isn't that gorgeous?
I want miracles in a jar, and a pretty jar at that. I look for all-in-one formulas that offer multiple benefits in one swipe.
With moisturisers, I’ve never found a favourite. I’m still looking for the one that ticks all my boxes.

That said, I have a high opinion of Nip and Fab, and a couple of their items like the Glycolic Fix Pads rank among my all time favourites.
They translate cutting edge concepts from their high end sister brand Rodial into affordable formulas without losing effectiveness.

I also love anything to do with honey, so the Bee Sting Fix Deluxe Cream looked like a winner. Would it deliver?
Back on it with the 30 Day Makeup Challenge! I think Ive decided once and for all that i wont be able to fit in a look each day - after all, this is supposed to be fun - but I am going to keep going and try all of the looks.
Today is Day 5, which is all about sunset makeup! This theme had me dreaming of holidays, tropical islands and cocktails. Because we've just had a few days of nicer weather, I'm suddenly very keen on jetting off somewhere for more of it.
There's something about the simplicity of a clean, white shirt.
Its literally a blank canvas, so it seems to offer a form of style salvation. There are endless possibilities in how you wear it and I like that.
I also like the hint of subversive, just-rolled-out-of-my-boyfriends-bed-ness about it, which contrasts with the freshly pressed and buttoned up look.
Ive been hunting for the perfect oversized white shirt for what feels like years now. Everything I could find was too fussy or too feminine.
Real Techniques can pretty much do no wrong in my eyes. When eponymous beauty vlogger sisters Sam and Nic Chapman first launched their line of products, it was really refreshing to find a brand created by beauty junkies to be high performance, sleek and affordable.
The day I bought my first set of RT brushes, I was in love. I even prefer them to my Mac brushes! They work and wash so well, blend like a dream and never let you down.
Over time, the line has expanded to include the Bold Metals line and quite a few special edition collections, of which the Nic’s Picks set is one. Would it live up to the hype?
